Sally called, when she got the word
샐리는 그 얘기를 듣고 전화를 했어

She said "I suppose you've heard about Alice"
"너 앨리스 얘기 들었어”

Well, I rushed to the window, and I looked outside
글쎄, 나는 창가로 달려가 밖을 내다 봤어

 

 

And I could hardly believe my eyes
그리고 내가 본 것을 믿을 수 없었어

A big limousine pulled slowly into Alice's drive
큰 리무진이 천천히 앨리스의 집으로 들어가고 있었거든

 

*I don't why why she's leaving, or where she's gonna go
나는 그녀가 왜 떠나는지, 어디로 가려는지도 모르겠어

I guess she's got her reasons but I just don't wanna know
그녀는 나름대로 이유가 있겠지만, 나는 알고 싶지는 않았어

Now she walks to the door with her head held high

As the big limousine pulled slowly out of Alice's drive

Then Sally called back, and asked how I felt
그리고 샐리가 다시 전화해서, 내 기분이 어떤지 물었어

She said "I know how to help get over Alice."
그녀는 "난 어떻게 앨리스에 대한 실연을 극복할 수 있는지 알아"라고 말했어

 

 

She said "Now, Alice is gone, but I'm still here
그녀는 "이제 앨리스는 가버렸지만 나는 여전히 여기 있어" 라고 말했어

And you know I've been waiting twenty four years

And the big limousine disappeare
그리고 큰 리무진이 사라졌어
